No snow in Cooke City

I post the various videos since they are current and are about the closest to "Live" report of what is actually going on out there. Most snow cams are in towns. I have searched the world over for a snowies cam that is up near the actual riding area with no luck. Cooke 7 days and counting for me!

North Entrance of Yellowstone Just into Wyoming. Google Cooke City!

Hey Willey, will do! To be more exact Cooke City is at the North east entrance to Yellowstone. It sits just into Montana. Those who plan on going there will be buying a Montana permit. If you plan to go to "top of the world" you will also need the Wyoming trail permit. Yes both permits, similiar to IP with Montana and Idaho permits. Willey sure wish you was going!

Where booked and time off has been scheduled. After seeing all the recent footage Cooke has moved to the top of my todo list.

Where do I fly into to get to Cooke City and where do you stay? Machine rentals available? Any package deals ,room, meals, machines, guides? Basically; anything like Togwotee lodge?

Go there and compare. yes on rentals, I heard there is a guide or two around. It isn't packaged deals like Tog. lodge does, it is more ala cart. I stay at the Super 8 and eat most all meals at the Bakery. There is a old west style casino in town too!

Rode Cooke last year. It is great. Certainly not a resort. Which is what I liked the best. Bearclaw is a good guy. We brought our own sleds, but the rentals were all sweet new sleds. Be careful out there. They lose a few people every year. (One while we were there)

True, true. Cooke is a bit more intense then say Togwotee. Both locations I highly recommend Avy training. It is a must do class. Beacons, metal shovel, probes are a start on what you will need.

Bearclaw Bob is a very nice man. My sled is clutched for IP and it is already loaded up for Cooke City, Bear claw Bob said, "No problem, you know were my tools are and how to work my garage door, change weights when you get here".
