Got up to Finland to do a little riding yesterday. Theres probably about 10-12" on the ground in Finland and maybe 15-18" up near Isabella. Didn't ride any trails, just forest roads and while the snow was excellent and riding was great there were a lot of trees to work around that had fallen on the trails due to the heavy snow. Luckily one of our guys broght with a cordless sawzall so we could cut our way thru many of the spots. Overall, great first ride and hopefully great start to the season. Just gotta get the swamps and lakes to freeze up.

Skiroule, recognize the second sled in line? Still running like a champ. My son was in heaven getting to go with on a "guys ride". Lots of high speed forest road running.

First guys ride for your Son..Wonderful memory.

Just keep in mind that before you know it--your Son will be leading and you'll be tucked somewhere in the middle.

My boy just got his safety card and we had to go laminate it right away. He wants to leave right now and head north before the snow melts again.
Nice pics. Always wanted to go to northern Mn. to ride.

Oh yes, the "giant killer". It's hard to believe it's been 15 years since I picked that sled up spanking new. Still a fast, fun sled and I'm glad to see that it is running strong and working well as a ride for your son.

Great pics! - starting to look like a real winter up there. Think a pretty good chunk of northern MN got at least some snow. We had about 6" of good snow on southeast Lake of the Woods last Wed. Perfect consistency, not too fluffy and not too wet. Should make for a good base.

I'll get up to your neck of the woods sooner or later. Have to put some miles on the Switchback.

Keep the photos coming.

ouch..yea my son always leads..but at least i ride the tail...

Is this a typo?

I'm looking forward to riding trails with my son aslo. Coincidentally he took his safety training yesterday so he is legal. He is very excited, I'm looking going to the Finland area next Sunday-Monday for a ride. Probably won't be able to take my son because he has school on Monday but soon if we don't get snow here I will head north with him.
