Got up to the cabin over the weekend and had some fantastic riding. Spent most of the time off trail but the little trails we ran were great. Rode some of the NSST on Sunday morning and it was good. About the only real bad trail we rode was the Tomahawk from the NSST up to the Trestle inn and then the access trail to Finland was rough Saturday night. All trails were groomed saturday night so they were good on Sunday again. Found some good snow both Saturday and Sunday. Had a few stucks. Had my wife and both kids all stuck at the same time on Sunday. That was fun. Saw a cow moose and her calf on Saturday. That's always neat to see.

Is that last image Carton Peak? Star on the map below.

What's the best way to get to your spot? Trail? or cr33?

Brainerd SnoDeos heading up to Tofte Thursday morning. Thanks.

Cool! Blew down the hill and through Duluth today and was wondering if you had been out recently. Going to try to put some hours on the Assault tomorrow.

The first pic shows my son stuck. I give my daughter and wife a pass as my daughter was on a shorty and my wife and her throttle don't see eye to eye always. But my son was just being a goof.

Yep, that's Carlton peak. The best way to get there is the trail between tofte and Schroeder and then going north on the access road. Not sure of the toad #.

Looks like pic#1 fulfills your question.

Somehow I missed pic 1.
Totally agree on a pass to younger or less experienced riders when put on less familiar terrain. ie off VS on trail
