BB107495-FCA3-409E-AA84-BD4E63799013.jpg So as somebody mentioned in my previous post it sounds like a Griswold family vacation. Well it got even better today. We got about 4-5” of snow overnight and headed up the state trail towards Lutsen/Devils track area. We were stopped right where the trail crosses Sawbill trail outside of Tofte. We decide to turn back and go play on forest roads north of there. My wife is backing her sled up and accidentally mashes the throttle slamming into my sled. No huge damage done but in the freeway incident on Saturday my rear bumper got busted and so just one of those cast aluminum pieces was sticking out and it broken and very sharp. Well her leg slammed into it and she had about a 3”x 1/2” very deep nasty loooking gash on her calf. So we could stop the bleeding by holding a lot of paper towel on it but we didn’t have anyway to really wrap it up. And I couldn’t really leave her and the kids and ride 2 hrs back and then drive an hour up to get her. So we called 911 and she got a very expensive ride to the hospital in Grand Marias where she got 12 stitches put in her leg. So the weeekend from **** continues!

Sorry for the sideways pictures. Don’t know how to correct from my phone.

Whoa!!! Be a little extra careful now, eh??? Three is a charm??? Although stitches are better than broken bones. GOOD LUCK to you, and your family, hope the new year is better for you!!!

Our challenge was we had no tape. Usually I have some in my bag but not this time. After we had called 911 some people did stop by and they had duct tape which we used and that helped.
