Glad you had fun! Don't be afraid to come even farther west. There is a very, very nice trail system between Lena, Warren, Winslow, Apple River, Scales Mound, Stockton, Pearl City, Loran, Orangeville, etc. Also, if you have your WI sticker, Monroe, Browntown, Gratiot, South Wayne, Darlington, can all be accessed from the Lena area as well. There are hundreds of miles of excellent trails to be had. Tough to tell when we will have this much range and this great of conditions again. Get out and enjoy!!!

Thanks Egras , we actually booked rooms in Freeport for this Thur/Fri/Sat if they don't get the snow in St. Germain area as forecasted for , Like I said we will defiantly be coming back and will head your way to check things out and yes we have are WI stickers so all good to go

I talked to a group of snowmobilers in Warren yesterday. They had ridden from German Valley. They said all trails were excellent. I pointed them in the direction of Apple River and Apple Canyon Lake as I had just come from Apple Canyon Lake and everything was freshly groomed. It is 11:00 a.m. and it is currently raining. Supposed to switch over to snow shortly and get 3-5 inches followed by a freeze down. Trails should be the best they've ever been after next grooming. JMO
Does anyone know if there are any hotels or motels you can stay and ride out of in northwest Illinois?
As someone said, Baymont in Freeport. Also, maybe an even better spot is the Country Inn and Suites in Stockton. Can go a lot of directions from the Stockton area.
I just headed in to work and the Lena groomer was out. TRAILS LOOK FANTASTIC!!! I would say you would be hard pressed to find better trails anywhere in the Northwoods right now than what we have in Northern IL/Southern WI. I've only seen them this good a couple of times in my life and never better. Also, I would imagine Warren club will be out doing from Lena to Warren to Apple River areas. Get out and ride them this weekend and brave the cold! It will be worth it!

Just got back home from riding Region 6 since Thur after waiting out the rain at breakfast in Freeport on Thur , we headed out in the snow storm and all I can say (again) had these trails not been marked as well as they where we would’ve never made it out on them and not only on Thur but Friday as well
, the trails are getting groomed and are in excellent shape the drifts in the fields are crusted up pretty good so they’re a little stiff , I would say once they get beat up or when it gets a little warm out to soften them up you will have the best riding in the state of IL !!
