Oak Grove/Wyoming MN ride 12/26/07

Well, I had planned on going into the office yesterday, but after the fresh snow we had Christmas day, I couldn't hold out any longer. Needed to get that first fix. Met up with one of my riding buddies at his place in Oak Grove, and headed east from there. Ditch banging and miles of trails through fields all the way. All in all, ditches were not that bad, but were getting heavier traffic in them as the day went on. Not the U.P., but had fun either way.

Had a light snow fall in the a.m when we started. Mush have been that "Think Snow" sticker!

Ready to ride, (First time this season)

Erik's sled in his yard. There's more snow than it looks. He has a lot blanketed by a number of large trees and tree lines which limits the snow depth perception.

Nice pics Kris, it feels good to get the first ride out of the way eh? And, you didn't hit any trees or anything, and bend stuff! My brother has 120 miles on his M8 now, oh yea, he hit a log the first full day on it and bent the upper and lower a-arms on it. LOL.

Skylar - Yeah, it felt good to get rid of the itch. To bad about Kim's a-arms. Hopefully that was the only damage. A few battle scars never hurt though eh?

Luke - NW of the cities about 30 to 40 minutes on a good day.

00700 - Couldn't tell ya where those hills were at bud. Was following my buddy who knew the area. It was my first time riding over there. (Somewhere between Wyoming and Scandia is all I know.) Trails were rideable. Some slick and thin spots. As mentioned above, the ditches were getting hit pretty good as the day went on, but still had rideable snow in them by the time we were done.
