Ride In YUMMIES!!!
LOOKIE WHAT AWESOME DEB FROM KRUPPS SENT ME HOME WITH!!! UBER YUMMY!
One saved for Doug, the other three are tonights desert for the boys and me!
OHHH and I have a dozen pasties in the freezer too! I figured ONE A MONTH until I can go back for more! Unless I run out sooner, which would then be a reason to go UP this summer!

Here, tired and had the BEST TIME EVER!!! 3 days riding sleds and spending time with great friends, meeting new friends, raising money and making one little boy very happy he's now going to Disney World!!

Ditto to the John Dee'ers rock!! What a great time we had again this year. Don't think i've ever met better people in my life than those from JohnDee.com in the past few years.
We had a great time staying at the Running Bear with Ma & Pa Bear again this year, make sure you have us down for the Ride In next year! Lot's of snoring in our cabin this year thanks to Squat and Catmandoo!! I think Scoopy and I should have our own cabin next year and let the 2 of them have a snore fest on their own!! lol

Though I can say not having gotten away means I'm really hating being at work! LOL
Tank is heading north to Lola on Friday - now if only we'd get snow so I can take her for a spin or 2 after she's fixed up!!!!

I'm here at work and I hit a huge wall this afternoon. Man, am I tired! I decided to take a break and check out JD. I thought that maybe I wouldn't fall asleep at my desk if I had a distraction.
I had an awesome time this past weekend. I still find it amazing that we all met on this site and how many great friends we all have now because of it.

ScottiKing, guess who we bumped into at Krupp's on Sunday morning after we got gas. You guessed it--Skylar--and there was strudel still left in the case, too! I guess he didn't grab all of the strudel.

As for BigVin's performance of Hang on "Scoopy", I have to say that was amazing. I wish I had it on a video. Although, I guess I have to thank Guy for telling BigVin to sing it.

Just about done with my first day back at work. After the Ride-in, we went back to Eagle River, WI. Nothing good around there at all. We trailered up to Watersmeet Tuesday and Thursday, and up to Greenland on Wednesday. Had another Krupp's pastie for lunch on Wednesday. Thanks Mrs. Bear for the advice on the trails. From your report in another thread, looks like we got in on some of the last good riding. We found good riding both days out of Watersmeet, but by Thursday, there were more bare spots on 3 between 8 & 2, and the stretch that runs along a black top road was kind'a ugly. The last 3 miles into Watersmeet had the carbides rattling more than on Tuesday too, but the rest of that day was very good.
Thanks to Campbell crew for letting me ride with them on the Ride-In Saturday. Yeah, 3 was brutal on the way back, but we also had some real good riding that day too. The whole weekend up there was a great time with great friends. Cat - I missed Kaboolie getting a puck. I didn't realize how many years it's been that Squat has been puckless. Thanks for the update.
Big Vin - You blew us away with "Hang on Scoopy". You're awesome man. I don't know how you come up with that stuff right off the cuff like that. We'll be remembering and talking about that one for a Looooong time...even longer than Squat being puckless. Too bad nobody had a camera rolling. It was classic good times!

P.S. Rosanne has a check-up for her hand on Wednesday, with more x-rays and a new cast. She's had a fair amount pain in different areas of her hand, so she'll be asking about that too. Maybe next year I'll have to bury 4x4 posts for driveway markers instead of using those orange fiberglass ones that jump out an trip people in the dark. LOL Have to pass along that even without riding, she had a good time with everyone too.

If we could just get some in the MN Arrowhead - THAT would be nice - but even there it's sparce. ARG! I want a Winter Do Over! Sleds are stilll in the trailer from the Ride In - can't even take them out cuz there isn't enough snow on the ground and the ground is so soft all it will do is tear up the weeds.
How much you wanna bet it rains all summer?

Mrsjac.Nothing here in the s.e. either.The local forcasters sure get jacked up,dont they?
Hope all is swell with everyone, things are still crazy down here. Although with the way the forecast is lookin i think im gonna take off thursday night to ride friday and sat. and the house, probably be the last trip of the year for sleddin. get ready to get the boat out and hiking gear ready.
Just out of curiosity if you were to have a good job offer with the state in da yoop, would you uproot your family and take it???
