Well this is just great! They jumped the price of gas here in Kalamazoo 25 cents a gallon today- went from 3.54 right on up to 3.79- hope somebody's happy somewhere-cuz we sure AIN'T!! Oil is only 84 a barrel, what's the deal?

When I was a simple clerk at a gas station living the good life of 1.75 12 bottles, the owners of gas station would stop in periodically at night, and if Joe Doaks gas station raised their price .05 then by god we raised our price .05 and if gas dropped .05 well we got to it the next day or right before closing. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with what we paid for that truckload of gas. Never thought much of it then when gas was 1.58 but now it kind of burns me. :) Bring on KBIC. The other rumor I heard about that though is the quality of gas. Which remains to be tested but I am for the competition if anything to make up my own mind and keep buying gas from local stations if the quality isn't there. (I think it will be)

I guess the drop is over, gas in Wausau went up 6 cents last night. Funny it takes forever to drop, but just talk of oil going up and the price of gas jumps right now.

Gasoline must meet standards all over the country..so for the most part there is almost no difference among them including octane minimums.

Considering how far oil has dropped now, we are only about .20 cheaper at the pump. I hate to think what gas will be when oil is back to were it was a couple months ago. I consider myself an optimist, but it is really hard when talking about gas prices.:(

Amem! Obama said it was possible to see $5 to $9 a gallon gas in the next 4 years. We have to drill in USA & consume our own oil or switch to natural gas ASAP. An USA energy policy would also be a good thing. If we see $5 to $9 a gallon gas the only sled I will be riding is an ACE if I can still afford 1.

Yesterday saw $3.49 in our area, central WI. I did see a $3.37 in the Bonduel,Wi area yesterday. I heard last week that we will see $3 around Halloween/Thanksgiving. Lets hope that one is true.

^^ Gasbuddy.com has pretty much the Oshkosh to Wausau line at 3.50ish

Saw a Milwaukee gas station go from 3.25 to 3.39 tonight, hopefully it was just a typo. Sucks if gas is going back up that fast.

Plus I'm going up north for next week, hate to pay 3.65 for gas again, but at least I'm hauling up 11 gallons that I paid 3.19 for :)
