I'll be there Sat. with the guys and Sunday with the family to buy my raffle ticket for the restored Make-a-Wish sled, look at a new avy pack, some new boots and whatever catches my eye in the swap that I can't live without.

Going to try to get up there one of the two days. Lots of stuff I “think” I need. The Hay Days website advertises this event as the official kick-off of winter. After the heat of this summer, I think we’re all ready.
Try to squirrel away $10 for a Make-A-Wish sled raffle ticket (think that is about two beers and a hot dog). Snoluver1 will be there with the sled at least part of the time. If you’re lucky enough to catch him, be sure to say hello and shake this man’s hand.

Where is the Make-a-Wish sled going to be located? We are going to be there all day Saturday. It would be cool to meet some of the JD gang.

According to John's last journal it will be on display at his friend Matt's booth at location EF7.
is that a swap site ? did not see ef7 on map
if it is a findable spot I will be there at high noon

I had to dig out the super magnifying glass AND my cheaters but I think it is the fourth slot down from the upper right hand column of white slots. Looking at the map, it makes sense that this would be the space. I hope that is the case because that's my first destination.

No harm, no foul. I was late getting there myself. Believe it or not, out of the gazillion or so people there, I ran into people I knew on two occasions just trying to get there.
Couple that with my inability to read a map (just ask people that have ridden with me) and it all added up. Finally got there – it was cool. More on that tomorrow in the “Sled Thread”.

I was there from 6:45-3pm today. The crowd was THICK. Saw the Make-a-Wish sled - I'll get a raffle ticket tomorrow when I go back with the family. Bought a few things that were needed...and some that weren't. All-in-all another great day with excellent weather.
