Andrew, I have a tendency to overwork myself if that makes any sense and I pay for it in the evenings and mornings. I stopped early today intentionally to prevent that, probably work a 7-8 hr day tomorrow. Today I continued gutting and did okay. Forgot the camera so I'll post pics of tomorrows progress. I am very pleased at how things are going and will be at the turn around point mid week next week, turn around meaning putting it back together.

I think we all do it on the job we are not being paid for. I do it on all my own projects, stuff at the fire dept and when a neighbor calls and says can you help me with... Somethings make a project more fun when you not being paid. Its just a project not a job. Go to your daily job and its its never as fun even if its something you love doing.

Last night I worked on my new house till 11pm came home got in bed around 11:30 got up for a house fire a 3:03am and draging at work now, but will push myself to get more done at the house tonight after work and will stay till about 11 tonight. Last little bit of mud on some holes in the drywall then paint this weekend then finishes next weekend (I hope!). I'm trying to be done by the end of the day on the 21st. Will see.

By the looks like your moving along nicely.

forgot the camera again today but progress is really coming along. It is for the most part gutted. I still have to yank some old electric. I pulled all the old heating runs and returns. Gonna check for missed nails tomorrow, last bit of electric removal, sweep up and vacuum, unload at the dump. So far I have had 6 loads to the dump at an average of $35 per load. Have had 2 burn barrels burning non stop for the last week and will finish burning all the old wood tomorrow. Thursday is the day I start to put er back together. This structure is on a crawl and it was loaded with trunk lines and everything else you could imagine. I pulled it all out and it looks good. Gonna run a string of lighting under there for storage. Should have pics tomorrow! ;)

It's been a long week here working on the "old town hall". Gutting is complete, debris discarded. This lower half of the downstairs had a stage that the township used for dances and stuff. The stage was pitched 2 3/4" being low in front, probably for better viewing in the old hall section that collapsed from snow back in the 70's. Today was the first day of putting the place back together which was leveling the floor to level. It was an extensive job pulling and cutting nail, jacking beams, temporary supports. We did drop the high side 2 3/4" and it's dead on. One little corner also dropped 1 1/4" from right to left, took care of that also and now I have a level deck to build on. I Had to order 2x10x16' floor joists (hem fir) for the new deck in the rear. They'll be here Monday sometime so by the end of Tuesday the floor system will be complete with sheeting 4x8x3/4 t&g OSB. Electrician is scheduled for Thursday to install new sub panel. Plumber is tentative for the following Mon for rough-in. Here are some pics but it was getting dark by the time I snapped them. The area is to large for the flash but you can kinda see the stage height and where I need to frame the new floor. I think it was snowing in there, oh, that's dust. Tomorrow I will get the ledger board on the walls and layout the floor joists so when the joists come they are ready to drop in. Big changes coming fast now, look out people, Lenny's on a mission!!!!!:D

2 more days of framing left. New electrical service yesterday. Met with the plumber and he will start hopefully Mon or Tues for a 1 day rough in. I have to finish framing tomorrow and Sunday, if so I can start electric Monday also. Should be no problem to stay out of the way of plumber

framing is done minus stringing the existing walls to shim uneven studs & 1 closet. Was drizzling today and dreary out there so poor light conditions for pics. Hopefully the plumber shows up tomorrow for his rough-in. I'll finish my misc carpentry stuff and maybe install the 3 new windows going in. I will be ready for all 3 rough-in inspections after wed, I think.

Inspector coming tomorrow also to inspect new service, electrician coming around noon tomorrow to start electric rough in. I get to help liscenced electrican to keep costs down a bit. Hopefully we can wrap it up by the end of wed so after thanksgiving weekend I can get a rough inspection for carp, elec and plumb.

passed plumbing inspection, now for the electrical. We have state inspectors and they come when they want with no warning, kinda bogus setup if you ask me. Now I just wait till they show up

here is the set back I have been waiting for. We wrap up the plumbing and electric on Tues. Plumb inspector comes wed and passes it. I call electric inspector and he cant get out here till next Tues,,,,,,stanky rat butt fish snake charmer. Today I cut in 3 windows, finished 2 kick plates under ext thresholds, vented bath exhaust fan. I guess tomorrow I cut as much timer (firewood) as I can. Got plow getting welded. I guess catch up ain't so bad.

passed electrical inspection, building inspector came by also and passed rough carpentry. Insulation tomorrow, I hope they show up. Gonna stock drywall on Thurs, need to let the insulation dry for a few days because it is blown in wet. I have people coming in tomorrow to rent the upper unit. My wife and I spent a few hrs getting the upper all polished up and ready for the crew coming in. I'll have new pics after drywall.

finished cutting wood, mounted the plow on the truck, started plowing and blew a line. I replaced the line and started plowing and lost retaining clips on plow pins. Replaced the pins with nuts and bolts and finished plowing,,,truck and plow were abused big time, surprised it works at all.
