One out of three Yamaha four stroke

Got my 3 Yamaha four strokes out of storage only one would run good that was the 2010 Vector FI. The 2005 rage will not stay running without the choke on. The 2008 Vector is a little better but not much. I think the pilot jets are clogged? Used sea foam on all three. I do not think that sea foam is as good as it use to be?

yup, carbs don't like sitting fuel especially ethanol fuel. The days of old are no longer here and you cannot store carbed engines like years ago

he fuel now days is all junk.
on my carb stuff I run em dry or close and run VP race fuel in them .
cost nothing compared to the time cleaning carbs and on the small stuff/saws blowers etc etc I only run VP .thestuff will not go bad

I've got a 2005 Vector and there is no doubt that the pilots (one, two or all) are clogged. The pilot openings are so small that it's no wonder they don't clog every day....and I'm not exaggerating. IMO - the best thing to do is not try to clean the pilots but simply replace them. I think they're like $6 ea. so why take a chance that you didn't get them fully clear then have to pull the carbs again?

A few years ago I installed clear inline fuel filters and I can see the small pieces of junk in them that the tank filters didn't pick up.

I used to use seafoam as well but switched to Star Tron Enzyme a couple of years back. I've had great success with it and haven't had to clean my carbed skidoo's since.

Got the Rage running good 3 carb kits 3 pilot jets new anti freeze oil changed chain case oil changed greased all fittings.

You need to see HOW SMALL >>><<< the pilots are on the carb'd Yami 3 cyl. motors.

Here's a tip to fellow Yamaha carb owners. If you have a friend that is a guitarist, ask him for old strings or cut off pieces of the strings. They are great for poking out the jets.

Do those Yamaha carbs have drain screws on them?
