October 29th of last year was a Sunday. Typically, the day that John posted his weekly Journal. Our weekly portal into John's life in the Keweenaw, featuring the weather, his family, the dogs, and their new home. Unbeknownst to John and all of us, this would be his last Journal entry. What a life he led, went on to live where he really wanted, met his wife, and completed it by adopting his daughter to complete his dreams. Also great that they decided to keep this website alive for all.

But ultimately to know we are not our bodies gives me some solace...we are much more than that

I would look for his journal every Sunday. I would read it to my wife. After I read it we would look through the pictures he posted. He left us much too young. Still miss his journals.
