BTW...Just a reminder that the barrels and markers are pulled on all Northwoods Passage area lakes (Oneida, Hancock, Nokomis, Mohawksin, the Spirit, and Lake Alice)...it's NOT safe....DO NOT RIDE ON THE LAKES!!!!...Nokomis is sketchy as heck right now, as they are raising the water level, so all those heaves and holes are filling with water. You will not catch me on ANY area lake for the rest of the season....The clubs are out and panning trails today, and removing downed trees from the storm......we should get one, and maybe two weeks out of this snow if the weather doesn't get too warm, or rain...when it goes, it will go fast...so get out there and enjoy them while you can

Honestly, I'm surprised but glad for those that can ride. I would be surprised if it made it to the end of the season but that's what we get this time of year. At least we were blessed with a little extension. My neighbor said we got about 15-20" or so in Pelican Lake.

With the expected warm weather (50's Thursday through Sunday)..it won't last...I'd love to go 2 more weeks, but that's probably wishful thinking...We'll see how it holds up this weekend....lots of snow in the woods, but little to no frost, and the base was gone as of last week....at least we got one more week

Just took a 65 mile loop this afternoon/evening...it was too warm..trails were decent in the woods...but we're soft and slushy, and anywhere the sun hit was brown ...today did alot of damage...roads that were snow covered this morning, were bare this afternoon...we hit 51 today with direct sunlight...not good...my deck had about a half inch of snow/ice on it this morning and was bare and dry by 3pm...will trails hold up for the weekend...?? Probably not...it's going fast with the warm weather...I would say by Saturday they will be toast...oh well got one last ride in today, and it was worth it
