Lincoln County reopened the rest of their trails yesterday....however, Trail F between intersections #56 and #57 (in ZONE 2) will remain closed for the season.....OTHERWISE everything looks real good...Getting really good reports from the Knight owl trails (south and east of Tomahawk)...Harrison Hills area is excellent right now....Oneida trails are holding up real well with the heavy traffic they recently had.....the clubs are grooming at night and with the cold temps, some trails are like super highways ...flat, fast and very good.....just watch for ice in some of the corners (especially out towards the willow region)....Forest Riders also reporting Good Condition....but there is still some logging being done on Trail 5 between Lamer Springs Rd and Muskellunge Rd, and logging scheduled to begin on Trail 12 just south of Trail G. It looks like they are going to use Flowage Rd as a route. Flowage Rd has been plowed down to the gravel.

Again stay right, some corners are icy (lower your corner speeds)..it's very hard to tell and or see which corners are slick...it's not all corners, but better safe than sorry.
Trails right now are good to excellent...the best they have been in many years...get out there and ride, but be prepared for very cold weather this weekend...NWS says it will be the coldest weekend we have had in 5 years...windchills could reach 45 below zero, both Friday, and Saturday....dress accordingly, and maybe don't take little ones out in this stuff this weekend.

They are beautiful right now...took a quick 30 mile spin yesterday before work....flat, smooth fast...hard trails, but not burning slides nor over heating.....just watch for some ice in the corners...otherwise it's an 8 out of 10 right now...really nice

This is awesome news heading up in the am to get some mid week riding in before the weekend warriors arrive. Thanks as always for the timely updates.

Arrived late yesterday afternoon unloaded and took a quick 49 mile loop. don't remember hitting a single bump. Met a groomer and let him know he is loved and gave him a thumbs up on the trail. Think we are heading north today from here before all the traffic arrives for the weekend up by Minoqua. Been a couple of years since trails have been this fine. May take a crow bar to get the smile off of our faces, even the roads are covered, If you are thinking about heading up don't hesitate, at this time of the season a warm up could happen and then it will be over. Thanks attackman for honest reporting.

Will we ever be able to ride across Lake Tomahawk??
No....Illinois people should stick to the marked trails....:p:D....I have no idea what you are talking about....been riding across Lake Tom for weeks, it's not marked....if that is what your question is...you should probably ask the sno fleas...people who don't know the lake should probably stay off it...take the trails, they are really nice right now

Either of you ever stay at a hotel in Chicago?? $196 is getting off light down there.
$400.00+ for a room @ Kalahari in the Dells on a weekend...When I ride Adams County and decide to stay overnight mid-week, I have paid as low as $68.00 @ Best Western Dells...Years ago they had mid-week "Hunters Special" for $45.00...

We came up yesterday. Most trails were smooth & flat! Had to watch the ice on some stretches like you mentioned. Especially on 17N, east of 51, south of 8. Every corner was iced up. Snow really improved north of 8 though! We stopped in at Holly's for the radar runs. Fun times & was able to support the local clubs! My boy enjoyed the kids sledding hill. It was a pretty good turn out! Felt good to take some breaks trailside with the warmer weather. Much easier keeping my boy warm & content👍

Decided to go south from Tomahawk yesterday b4 dawn, headed to Merrill...Decided to take the long and winding route...17s to 19s...It's 50 miles one way with about a thousand turns(Reminds me of the NSST trail in Mn)...Riding it hard the whole way non-stop was a good workout...I was the first sled after the groomer headed south after the 15/17/19 split...Had to slow myself down a few times, crossed paths with 3 sleds during the ride south...Yep the water crossing about 10 miles nw of Merrill was froze solid...On the way back north I counted 34 trucks/trailers parked at the Co Rd "S" lot...Yep...The trails were fairly trashed from there north into town...
