I tried to purchase online a non resident MI Snomo Trail Permit from the MI DNR website but was directed to MSA website for online permit. Cost $50 total with $2.00 for handling. Is that the way it always worked online have to go thru MSA? Also read that no permits will be mailed until Nov 1 which seemed odd to me to process and mail all permits starting Nov 1? Is this the wrong website or always worked this way? Easy for me to just buy in Lando over the counter they have cash I have permit.

WHITEDUST.....I only bought through the mail once and it was after Nov. 1.
We traditionally hit the border and ride illegal for 6 miles to Caspian for stickers on our first northwoods ride of the year.

I've always pre-ordered thru MSA. Figure rather have them make few bucks than a gas station. Stickers always comes in timely manner, don't recall if it was after Nov.1 though.
Just figure I'd rather order early slap sticker on before it's cold and snowy.

I agree with ya UP gas stations and Snomo support biz need all the help they can get and if buying on online why a middle man? MSA will get funded without trail permit sale process Ma & Pa won't. If you buy in lower MI Ma & Pa biz prolly not that dependent on snomo support but no question of what pays the bills in Da Yoop.

That's a pretty bold statement from some one who has prob never ever been in Lower MI. It does snow a lot in lower , way more than WI. Really. And more than parts of " UP " and there is a good trail system. Really.

WOW that is FUNNY!!! ...Bahahaha.... why would you think that?? All of MI was part of may sales territory for 30+ years. Lower has a lot more going for it than snowmobile support biz as far as year round recreational sports,tourists and industry. Sure there is a nice trail system in the Lower but come on nothing like the UP. They don't call western UP Big Snow Country without reason. My IN industrial customers were going to the lower all the time around but much preferred the western UP for snowmobiling and that was their opinion and only went to lower because closer to northern IN.
