Opening Day Fishing

Got a late start today, on the water at 1pm and in by 5pm. About 20 jumbo perch, 10-12" size, have not seen perch like this in years. Six walleyes, only two were keepers at around 16". Would have stayed out longer but had to come in otherwise I think we would have pulled in some more decent walleyes.

I'll take it for this years Opener, our ice just went out on Tuesday, Weather wass OK at around 52, cloudy, and windy.

A good start to the season.

25 walleyes last night between the two of us from 7pm until 8:30pm. We each took a limit of 3, the fish we kept were 16" and the others were just under 15", they were hungry and hitting the minnows hard.
