I sat on one and it seemed comfortable. They said they are a fasr 800. It should be a good riding trail sled but heavy.

I was hoping to hear more about them as well, supertrax says its their favorite long day sled and this year they really pumped up the HP factor. Anyone ride one yet. And what about the new rush, anyone one that one yet?

The F8 did get a steroid injection on the 2010. The ride feel is a whole lot different too. Remember the cornering on your old ZR? It came back. This is the sled they should have brought out in 2007. It is lighter, has a ton more low end zip, and it doesn't feel top heavy in the tight stuff.

Do not ride your friend's sled. You will be shopping for a new ride.

Seriously though, has the sled been delivered? Still think they need more track underneath. Tell the bud, to look into upgrading the track. The Cobra 1.25 is a nice option.

Took my 2010 F8 LE out for the first ride today and I was seriously impressed with the sled. It had everything I loved about my 07 (comfort, fuel economy, rear suspension quality) and added a ton to it. As mentioned earlier, it does feel considerably lighter than the 07. Additionally, the motor is just plain and simply bad-***. The power comes on early and pulls hard throughout. And the greatest thing, they improved the handling a ton over my 07, yet the thing still doesn't dart and the steering never felt heavy. The thing carves now.

The only thing I wished they did was skinny the seat down a bit. It might not bother some people, but it still feels a bit wide for me.

If anyone was on the edge of buying one, I would whole heartedly recommend going for it. You won't regret it.

A buddy just bought one on Sat. and we are now wondering what to do about the 91 octane gas. The best we can buy here in town is 90. On the trail you will get what is available. Any thoughts?

The motor has a knock sensor and will retard timing in steps up to 3 degrees based upon severity of the detonation. I am lucky to get 91 where I am at, and even though it says 91 I have a feeling it has sat in the tank and lost octane. Ran mine this weekend on what i suspect to be crappy 91 octane and had no issues. I actually mixed in a gallon of 87 just to have enough gas to get from my house to the gas station as this was my first ride of the year. Overall I think you will be fine, if it senses a problem it will back off timing and you will give up a little bit of power.

I like the Diamond Drive, it may have been hard to tune in the beginning, but now there is so much info on them that you can do VERY well getting the power to the ground. The only DD's that are a pain at scrubbing a lot of power are those with the mechanical reverse from 2007-2008. Actually for those of us who ride M's, they were really a mess at scrubbing power for 2007. Same exact mods on an 08 M8 will far out perform an 07 M8. The early 2005-2006 M/CF diamond drives were bullet proof and easy to tune

FYI: Dynotech again dyno'd this motor off the production line and it hit 163.00 HP; This was probably and F series motor as the F's usually have a few more HP than the M's and CF's due to pipe configurations and mapping.
