Opinions On The New Skidoo Oxygen Helmet?

I have yet to get my head in one but if as revolutionary as the first Mod it could be really good and sell out quick. I’m still using 2 original mods before the mod 1 lol. I bought 2 right away then doo started limiting 1 to a customer. The Oxygen has a new trick electric shield says it won’t fog, noise cancellation, large viewing area and is light. I can get rid of the nasty snot mop too so I have high interest. What do you think?

My opinion; if it works, awesome!
Even if it works, I cannot shell out $500 (with a 15% off coupon) for it as I bought a new HJC with heated shield at Ken's for $115 plus tax.

I am not one to have a ton of problems with my helmets, so the price for these are way to high for me. I'll wait a few years and listen to real world reviews fom people who have shelled out their own money for one. But these new helmets will never have my favorite option, the last one to get stolen from the bar! That being said, I do hope they are as good as advertised.

Not going to put any input on the new helmet as I agree as a couple have stated, Don't spend a lot of money on helmets, heated shield being most important to me, I have a large noggin and a good fitting helmet can be hard to find but have always found one comfortable and don't really see the need to spend a ton of money on one. And as whitedust had stated about the snot mop, one of our group has a skidoo helmet with that "oxygen mask" looking baffle in the front of and when we stop to stretch legs he opens helmet, drains the snot mop and squeezes the sponge out that is also in there, and to me... disgusting, don't care how good a helmet works not having that, have had plenty good luck with my $150 - $200 helmets

I tested the helmet when Ski Doo was at ERX with their sleds for demo rides. IMO it is not worth it the cost. I wore it with my glasses on and still had some fogging issues. It is a nice fit and cool features but not worth the price tag. I put on my BRP Mod helmet with my glasses and had no issues that day with fogging. I was working hard and sweating pretty good too. I later just put in my contacts and put on my comfy old HJC snow-x helmet and klim goggles and felt much more comfortable.
Like I said it is a nice helmet but not worth the $ IMO. You can see really well out of it. My glasses did fog and I had to crack the visor to make the fogging go away. My BRP MOD helmet is just as effective if not more so than the Oxygen helmet.

Well 10 minutes ago I was super excited when I read this. Cameras? Bluetooth phone capabilities? Now not excited. The innovation is a heated shield? No thanks.

Thanks .... how lucky to demo the Oxygen. I was concerned about hot head and fogging glasses everything I researched did say inside the helmet can get warm so a red flag for me. I very well could be loosing my glasses after eye surgery in early December so may not be an issue anymore. If the trick shield can melt freezing rain/fog icing that would be well the upgrade. We have been hamstrung with icing on many rides and a total PITA.

Looks-wise I think they are pretty hideous, but I could say that about a lot of stuff that comes out from BRP recently (putting on my fire suit).

Reminds me of the specially-built "helmets" that Hollywood puts together for movies that have a huge opening so that movie watchers can see speech and facial expressions. Kinda silly looking, at least to me.

Or like the retro helmets that the hipsters wear with their skinny jeans and chucks on their cafe bikes.

Overall, seems like a solution in search of a problem. Been riding motorcycles my whole life and never thought that I lacked vision down below. Can say that about my time on a sled too. Apparently it's also an idea that big time, high dollar helmet brands like Arai, Shoei, Schuberth, etc, never gave a second thought to, so there's that. I mean the chin bar (in a more traditional size) is there for a reason. Chin bars didn't get bigger over the last 50 years (used to all be more like the retro helmet above) for looks; they got bigger for safety.

There are so many people out there that wear glasses and cannot or will not wear contacts that I can't believe it's taken this long for a manufacturer to address this issue. At the Milwaukee show, I tried the largest Oxygen helmet on, and it still felt tight with glasses on. I believe they said that there are only two sizes of the actual shell, and the largest size helmet they had (2X?) didn't seem all that roomy. My co-worker did buy one and he has a large noggin (and wallet). I'll be interested to see how it works out. For me, it's the only time all year I pop my contacts in, and my HJC helmet works just fine.

It was mentioned that some of the demo testers reported fogging glasses.
