Even though I never met Sandy, I feel like I did know her through this website. I never heard anything but positive things about her and Richard and she will no doubt be missed by many. They have done so much for our sport and that will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to Richard and the entire family, along with the JD family, we are all hurting today, even those of us that never met her. I think that says a lot about a person. RIP Sandy.

I'm so sorry. Dang. I met Sandy and Richard when I first started snowmobiling in '04. I just stumbled upon Krupps for gas and food. I usually rode by myself not having any snowmobile friends at the time. Sandy always made sure I was well fed, warmed up and gassed up. And of course Richard had the trails perfect I planned my rides to eat at Krupps whenever i could..I dont know what to say, I'm just bummed.. we lost a treasure of the U P....

Very sorry to hear this. Like others have said, I never met Sandy personally but it was obvious from her posts on this site and the number of friends she had, she was a genuinely nice person. Sincere condolences.

I only met her a few times and each time she always was a kind and fun person! She was an asset to the snowmobile community. Rest in peace.

Sandy was also my Up Mom. We would sit and visit lots of times. I'm heart broke right now.. Having some personal problems the last few years that ended in a divorce Sandy would call me and talk to me or send me an E-mail to make sure the kids and I were ok..I have some great Pics of her and I together I wish I knew how to post them. .Richard you are in my prayers, along with the rest of your family. The U.P. lost a great one!!

Hard to see the screen with the tears. She was one of good ones. Everyone that met her was a friend. That is amazing and will be missed.

Holy sox! I'm stunned, shocked! We all just lost a member of the family!
I don't know how someone I've never personally met could ever feel so much like family.
But just from this forum, Sandy sure did. :concern: :sorrow:

Condolences to the Krupps family.

Sad news for sure. In my few communications with her she was always pleasant and helpful. Not many folks left in the world like Richard and Sandy and obviously their contribution to our sport are unparalled. Rest in peace Sandy.

She was at Marquette hospital and passed away this afternoon with all her sons by her side!
Richard has been making the trip daily and with all her kids there was at home taking care of all the duties and wasn't with her but was able to say his goodbyes last night before heading back to Twin Lakes.
My Name is Scott Hennessey and have been Helping Richard and Sandy with the Facebook page since I started it a few years ago- My biological Mothers name was Sandy as well and Passed away last year and my UP Mom Sandy met a few summers ago and SandyK always told my mom that she was Sandy 2 and my mom was Sandy 1! Well last year Sandy K turned into my Sandy #1 after my Mom passed!
This is a VERY SAD DAY for ALL of her UP kids as well as her own kids and Richard and his families!
Please keep Her Richard and all their kids in your prayers!
