"....someone please start a new thread on the Vikings and Packers Monday night game."

Bear

OK Bear let's get this thing started with some Fun Facts:

Longest win streak: Vikings, 7 (1975–78)
Current win streak: Packers, 1 (2019-present)
Meetings total: 118
First meeting: October 22, 1961; Packers 33, Vikings 7
Latest meeting: September 15, 2019; Packers 21, Vikings 16
Largest victory: Packers, 45–7 (2011)

The Packers have never beaten the Vikings in U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Packers are undefeated in the NFC North this season.

The Vikings are favored by 5.5 points.

...and I can't wait to hear what "Booger" has to say....(not)

Bud Grant rides Ski Doo

Bud Grant was one of those coaches when I was a kid that left an impression. Always seemed to have good teams, usually beat the Packers, just seemed like a guy you would want to play for. A couple of years ago he had a Garage Sale at his house and NFL Films captured some of it. This clip runs just under 3 minutes and is safe for the workplace for the guys trying to look busy on the computer.

Thank you Gary.

In my opinion, if the Pack wins it is simply the outcome of "good vs. evil".
Why, I live in G.B. and you don't hear squat about bad behavior (one Pot smoker, ooh) etc. The Casino even has zero issues with G.B. pro players, police say nothing. I can remember it was a free for all back in the day, rapes, beatings, fights etc.

Another factoid to share, Kirk Cousins in 0-7 on Monday Night Football. He's due for a win and I think the odds are in his favor.

I am in hopes of a great game! And yes, Cousins, is due a Monday nite win! As mentioned by gary, I too always enjoyed watching a Bud Grant coached Viking team play! He was one very committed coach, and always kept his cool! And watching Fran Tark pick apart a high powered, superior team.

The Vikings announced that running back Dalvin Cook is out with his shoulder injury.

They listed backup Alexander Mattison as questionable with his ankle injury, but he didn’t practice yesterday and they’re very thin there.

If Mattison doesn’t play, the Vikings will have Mike Boone and Ameer Abdullah in the backfield.

Interesting reading over on PackerNet today with Jason Wilde. In an interview with Brian Urlacher, Brian gives the reason why Rodgers is most always draining the Play Clock to .5 seconds. He's waiting for the defense to show itself in coverage, scheme, and blitz formations. With so little time, the defense can't make adjustments before the snap especially when there is motion involved. Makes sense to me.

That is the only reason that has any sense to it. And that is why Rodgers is what he is.

Never thought of it that way, but makes sense. I felt like he wasn't managing the clock well. And just to shows what one might not know. Certainly a different perspective - and it drove me nuts.

4ECD9171-03F4-468A-BA66-FD81675A80FA.jpg Bears have quit on this season, brutal. As far as the pack/Vikes....the spread is 4.5 in favor of the Vikes. I originally picked the Pack to cover the spread but lose. After hearing that Cook will be out I am sticking with pack covering the spread but winning. Should be fun!

Cook hasn't done much for 6 weeks. Put in the new hungry guy. RBs are over rated.

As much as I like Cook (I am a Vike's fan, grew up in Stillwater, MN but live in G.B. last 20 years) this could spur more pass play calling.

If there is one thing the Vike's do to piss me off is to continue to run the ball when they are down 14+ points. There is only so much time in a game and if the opposition is throwing and kicking your pooper, YOU AIN'T CATCHING UP RUNNING THE BALL.

We will now get to see them go at it head to head, now that Cousins has come to be his best! I really hope it's a sit on the edge of your seat from the opening kick off, to the last second!
