Packers & Niners Thoughts

You have to admit there are some huge dollars involved. How the fix would work I don't know. But when I die the first thing I hope to find out is who shot JFK. Then I want to know how the black flies get 20 miles out from shore to bother me when I am fishing. After that I will try to find out if indeed NFL games are predetermined.

they are bussed....a free bus ride paid by you takes them out to where you are.

Ok fine. How come nightcrawler s got up be so expensive. I am thinking the Russians are involved. Or else the Muldavians. I am truly scared about how much frozen shiners are going to cost next spring. Where will it end? Perhaps I will have to buy whitefish from native Americans.

You want some beautiful night crawlers go find a decomposing pile of cornstalks and start digging. That's one thing as a farmer we have never had to buy, bait.

Maybe kids today are too busy playing video games to dig them up at night?

Ill give the Pack a chance in the game. Jimmy G can be rattled and he is a young(er) QB. 49ers definitely have a lot of weapons, just try to take away one or 2 and force Jimmy G to sort his way through it. Rodgers can obviously drop a ball into any coverage so it always gives them a chance. Odd thing, GB can play some ball control by run/pass mix they can limit the 49ers. I think it will be a close game but hard to bet against the 49ers.
My pick:
49ers: 27
Pack: 21

I was a bit surprised by the following from Mike Florio, the guy we see on Sunday Night Football. He usually has little to say of the Packers....

"The 37-8 victory in Week 12 becomes a ball and chain for the 49ers this time around. Despite the margin, the game turned sharply against the Packers during a first half that featured dumb penalties, a very untimely fumble, a misguided decision to run from shotgun formation on fourth and one while down by only 10 points, and horrendous clock management near the end of the second quarter. If it’s a lot closer than 23-0 when the third quarter starts on Sunday, the Packers will have a very real chance to win — especially since Aaron Rodgers is keenly aware of his football mortality and Jimmy Garoppolo has the potential to make a critical mistake in crunch time. If the Packers can weather the early storm, they can steal a Super Bowl appearance late, setting up rematch of what was called at the time the AFL-NFL World Championship Game to cap the NFL’s 100th season."

The games I have seen the 49ers have played zone. If they do that the Pack would be wise to send Adams to the opposite side of Richard Sherman. Even Rodgers is not going to have much success against Sherman. Like him or hate him he is very talented and very smart. If Adams and Rodgers start burning the zone the 49ers will just go man on Adams with Sherman. There is a drop off to Allison and the other GB receivers. GB is going to have to find a way to establish the run. San Fran's game plan probably will be much the same as their plan against the Vikings. Stuff the run and then pressure Rodgers hard. Rodgers is not a stump like Cousins but he is not Russell Wilson either. Time will tell. Not long to wait now.

I would think the Pack will keep this more competitive than earlier in the year. I feel GB will play better offensively, Pack will have a better game plan than earlier to attack the Niners D. Niners O is good but don't scare no one. Just need to give Rodgers more than a half second to pass,,,, them dudes are gonna be a handfull to block. Pack is kinda playing with house money, no one expected them to be here or to win so they just need to go out there and let it fly. No pressure at all. I expect Rodgers to be on the top of his game,, he know's its there to capture and these opportunities don't come around often. Win or lose it was a great season.

Full disclaimer this pick is with my heart not my head.

Pack 24
Niners 21

Rodgers leads them down field for game winning FG.

GO PACK GO

Are the Mayors going to make one of those bets? If the Niners win, Green Bay has to send them toilet paper and if the Packers win, SF should send them some of their homeless.

If Walker was still gov them homeless would have a job at the papermill by days end making the tp.

Current administration will try to get them pot to ease their woes.

Go Pack Go.

It's Game Day folks!!

A little trivia to get things started;
Green Bay is the 4th team to win at least 13 games during the regular season and then be an underdog of at least 7 points in the championship game. Each of the previous 3 won the game outright.
