I'm starting a Packer thread because frankly the Bears are terrible and that Cutler thread has been beaten to a dead horse.

If Mc Carthy let's him Rodgers might throw 7 TD's this week against the team he grew up next door to rooting for his whole life who snubbed him on draft day. Thank you SF. A. Rodge still remembers sitting in that draft room for 4 hours before his name was called, he won't forget.

GO PACK GO!!

Ill get this thread fired up....:p

Whats up with that packers player comparing rodgers to jordan?

Common now.....

If dez bryants ball is a catch, which it was until like the last 2 years of the NFL, like all of america knew it was a catch...rodgers would have 1 playoff win in the last 4 years...... and it was against joe webb....

Im not saying he isnt great, becuase he is.

If you want to compare rodgers to a basketball player compare him to durant or lebron. A transcendant one in 30 year talent....but MJ...nah...MJ won titles...;)

PS...I took rodgers in draft kings, so i hope he throws 7tds this week

Them draft kings commercials are driving me nuts!!
They are on more often than Cialis commercials now.
U and 5.5 million other people got Rodgers going too, good luck with that.

I agree the only two people I would ever compare Jordan to are Ali and Gretzky.
Period end of story.

Rodgers has to do better that 6-5 in the playoffs that's for sure even though last year on one foot he beat Seattle our special teams just coughed that up. He also didn't give up 48 points to Arizona but did put 45 on the board.
But like they say you are what your record says you are.
After this year he'll be 9-5 in playoffs with 2 SB's and three league MVP's.
Then we can entertain the Jordan talk.. ;)

Just to be clear here, Rodgers didn't compare himself to Jordan, it was another player. Aaron is pretty modest about things like that and he said so much in a recent interview.

For those of us that have lived through the likes of John Hadl, Jerry Tagge, Scott Hunter, and a long list of others, Aaron Rodgers is from another world. Favre was special but Rodgers even more so IMHO.

Momoney was clear when he said another player compared Rodgers to Jordan not Rodgers comparing himself to Jordan.
.
Lynn Dickey put up some pretty big numbers for that era on some really bad teams.

When Rodgers is all done his numbers will make Favre's look silly.

We will see, but just 2 super bowls he is still not on bradys level. Brady is comparable to jordan. But if the pack get busted early in the playoffs again this year....where are you guys going to point the finger.........

Jordan and Rodgers, hmmmm interesting comparison. Although not really comparable, you must remember that Jordan didn't win anything without Scottie Pippen. Two elite players on the same team, obviously Jordan the best, thats what makes his run so great. Neither couldn't do it alone.
Brady to Jordan, maybe. I will give you that Brady has done much better in the wife category!

prolly be pointing the finger at the defense because I don't see Rodgers throwing three picks and costing us a game.

I can easier envision our defense getting gouged though.

Yea so can I. unfortunately rodgers will have to live with the loss under his belt.

I can think a few times peyton mannings defense let him down....that broncos game a few years ago vs ravens and that jets game when peyton scored with like 40 seconds left..and they gave up a return deep pass a FG with a second left...im sure there were others, but everyone only remembers peytons losing playoff record.

I wouldnt mind seeing the packers play the patriots in SB. That would be a good one...

I didnt compare them...a packer player did. He must be bias.......

No NBA player could do it alone....ask lebron LOL and all the other guys that team up with each other to win titles

ya id take bradys wife, jordans wife, or rodgers GF......all doing pretty well!

oh yeah, I have seen Jordan's new wife! Obviously she didn't marry for the money and fame :) Tm's wife actually makes more money than he does! Both are doing quite well in the lady dept.
Momoney, I know you didn't say the comparison. It was backup QB Tolzien i believe.

kinda of an uninspired showing by the offense. game was never in doubt though.
not sure if the defense looked so good or if the niners offense is just that bad.
whatever it's 4 and 0 and on to next week.
