paint

Was thinkin of paintin the exhaust on my sled. Gonna have it sandblasted and cleaned first tho. Was wondering what I should use. Found some paint that can with stand heat to 2000 degrees. Would powder coat work since its baked on? It's a 600 CFI that's stock. It's startin to pit in spots and I don't like that. Any and all ideas are welcomed. Thanks.

powder coating is only good for a few hundred degrees(less than 500 ??)
Get it ceramic coated if it that important to you,
save your money and let it go .

Depending on your amount of OCD (Obsessive-compulsive disorder) you could just spray it with a good priced barbecue grill paint. That is what I usually use and it wil last a year and then need some touch up the next but you usually don't use a whole can of spray paint on one pipe anyway. Just wirebrush all the welds or anywhere there is some rust and spray it black. Cost = >$10 and it's an easy, in "your" garage, two beer project.

Now if you're OCD is fully blown than yeah, pay for someone to sandblast (unless you have one) and then have it ceramic or powder coated for a few hundred dollars.
