Your order #200003162 has been updated to: Processing

Hello and thank you for your purchase. I am sorry but at this time we are unable to fulfill your order and we will be canceling your order and refunding your payment. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

I go back on their site and find that the panels I ordered are there but the price has more than tripled! $199.99 Pretty upset about this.
I've purchased from them before, but not again!
I get it that a company needs to be profitable to stay in business but seems wrong to me, why not honor orders that have been placed and raise prices after fulfilling orders? Am I out of line thinking I got done WRONG?

Fix my toys is a pretty reputable place. They probably made a mistake?

I believe Polaris only offered the $60 Hdpe side panels for one year on an Indy model.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be upset, I'm just saying it was probably a mistake.

Yes it's the indy side panel part #5439283-070, and 5439282, But why is it 199.99 for a $60 hdpe side panel. It was sold at the 62.99 price obviously, as it was listed. Now that I put in the order they cancel it and raise the price. Hope they don't think I'll re-order at 3x the price.

kinda BS but if they f ed up they should back it up but then cant blame them if costing them $$ to sell u the part.

LOL was in buds shop yesterday and a customer ordered a used jug and piston and c clip for a poo pwc from a place in N MN.
jug was fine. guess sales guy said u want to buy the used piston for $100 bucks lmfao then also a extra 10 for a used bent c clip lol.
best part piston was total junk deep deep h20 ingestion scars and charged more than a new aftermarket .
customer one of those guys always trying to save a buck and spending more than doing it correct the first time .
oh yeah no returns

I guess they made a mistake found it before shipping cancelled your order. Stuff like that happens in all types of motor sports. I know bud who owns a Marina made a mistake on new boat order told the customer asked if they would help him out and answer was a resounding NO!!! So goes both ways he had to eat a couple of grand.

Not sure if it is a law or not but if a price change does not get updated at the retail establishment I work at and the customer shows it to us, we will honor the lower price. I think the mail order houses need to step up as well.

A good example would be if you walk in and buy, let's say 10- 5 gallon buckets a paint and put it on will call to be picked up or delivered a couple weeks from now and the price goes up, we can't cancel your order and refund your money leaving you to repurchase at the higher price. Just plain BAD csr service.

When an e-commerce website has had an incorrect price entered into its database, it can end up not only advertising that price but also accepting orders and charging customers' credit cards for that amount. The central issue here is whether retailers can void the contract created when orders were accepted. The easiest way for a company to deal with such situations is to have website "terms of use" that clearly state the company can cancel orders and refund customers' money because of pricing errors (or for any reason). Otherwise, a common law doctrine known as "unilateral mistake of fact" applies. This doctrine allows a party to a contract to set aside the contract if honoring it would be "unconscionable," or if the other party could have reasonably assumed it was a mistake.

A $200 item advertised for $60 likely would meet this definition.

But it's not a $200 item. It is a $60 item. Thread on snowest shows several people getting this part # for between 45 and 75 dollars.
This is why I am a little taken back by this whole deal. And they were obviously selling it in that price range prior to my order.

At that point the seller needs to prove it was a hardship by showing how unreasonable a $60.00 price would be for them with proof of their own invoice price.....Bet they can't.

Thanks for the info on how these guys operate.

Their cost for that item may have gone up. What was paid in the past is no indicator of today prices. Also keep in mind with a lot of these websites is that they really don't have the items in physical inventory. When they get an order for an item it goes to their distributor of the item(s) and they fulfill the order. Meaning they are a business selling but not inventorying anything, very common with internet sites, AMAZON does it.

The seller does not need to prove anything. If you think its wrong, your only avenue is the legal system or complain to the BBB. There are gov't websites to report them to if you think its criminal, FBI internet fraud, FTC etc.

you are correct on the BBB only being a feel good thing, a few years ago I had an appliance go bad, dug out the paper work and I thought I am in luck as it was still under warranty. Call manufacture and they say original manufacture was sold to new company and they do no honor old company warranty. SAY WHAT. I contact BBB give them copies of receipt and warranty they send new company a letter on my behalf, new company says the same thing to the BBB. The BBB sends me a letter basically saying I was S*#t out of luck.

I don't think it is wrong, I know it is wrong. As a retailer, be it on line or walk-in you need to be on top of your offered price.... no ifs, ands or buts. That is business 101. Claiming ignorance is a lie.
Bad customer service will kill you.

At Menards mower sale had timed out on advertiser went & looked sale price still posted below the mower so I took price tag & mower to check out no problem honored the sale price after 1 call to department manager. Checker even said we have to honor all instore posted prices....process was painless for me....luv Menards.

I've had that exact same experience at Menards And Also at Sears on a 350$ tool set that had been advertised at 50% off, it was late Monday sale actually ended Sunday. Got it for $175 hardly a fight at all told them tag was there, we went and looked a depth guy was asked about it and they honored the price.

BBB is a scam . U pay them every yr to be a "member" and use of there logo on your stuff. nothing but a marketing deal if u think they are going to stand up for u a guy out of a few hundo as apposed to a guy that sends in his check yr after yr well then don't know what to say. I paid them for a few yrs when I was starting out huge mistake yrs of relentless calls to get me back to giving them checks. they also sell your info
