Paulding lights on syfy

We were there and I'm convinced it is car lights on Rt. 45. I don't believe the lights are right where the power lines meet Rt. 45 but further north on one of the hills.

I have an idea to test this theory but need some help. Someone has to stand at the gate and shine a high powered spotlight to the north at the light. While the flashlight is on someone needs to drive south from Bruce's and I'll bet that they will be able to see the light of the spotlight at some point.

If it isn't that then it is Meatloaf's dashboard light like someone suggested this weekend. =)

Some of the JD folks have "been there, done that". Did you miss this Paulding Light thread? (All 28 pages of it!) :)

In short, cuzz, you and I are in exact agreement! Most of the remainder of the referenced thread describes an attempt to test that theory.

great theory you 2....so when cars are not present anywhere on the road for long stretches and a light shows during this time.....what accounts for this then? you see the problem is CAR LIGHTS are visible when cars are on road....but some other source is doing it when no cars are around

CUZZ this statement is a conundrum (someting for FRNASH to look up)......

prof pc, if you ever get over there and check it out you'll see it a bit different. It is car lights, a proven fact and indisputable if you exercise your brain to any degree. You have to go by observation, not by emotion

we wish we would've known SyFy was coming, we could have had a lot of fun with them!! I think we did WAY better experiments....they got nothing on us JohnDeers :cool:

did you also see the tail lights going back up the hill. With bi nocs you can see it very clear, best to look at the area 1 hr before dark while you can still see the cars, what kind and color of car, stay there watching till dark and it all makes sense.

LOL it was funny to Hear everyone take on it!!!there was a lot people out there sat night, the place was packed!!!!!!it is weird how the tail lights are so short in time you see them compared to the headlights........but yes it is no doubt cars.......I was given your secret yesterday Lenny.......you guys did the leg work to find out i hear? I will say that the locals who were up there sat night Did a good job of getting people to think......one gal said she been going there 20 years and lives right in the area, I bet a case beer on sat night and spooked tourist are great people watching....hahha

that's just it, it's so obvious and at the same time it's scary how people fall for a thrill. It's our nature and nothing wrong with having a little fun. I'll publicly debate anyone, anytime and they'll be sorry they ever showed up. I could say a lot more on the subject but, I'll let it be.
