Does anyone have info on which 'Big Bore" kit is more impressive? In my group several of us have 06 Fusion 600 HO machines...Some beleive that the HTG kit is better and some believe the SLP kit is better...We honestly don't have any way to guage this since none of us have put one on...If you have any info on either kit please responmd and let me know your opinion...

Very much appreciate the info...

I unfortunately dont know tons of details...but the owner of our race team has HTG's in both of his trails sleds. They are 900 Fusions (well maybe I should say they WERE 900 fusions!)

I've often thought about doing the 660 big bore for my sled, I've done a lot of research on it, and I would go with the one from Carls Cycle.

with the right porting the 60 cc is not worth the cash not a BMP port job or other shiny catalog job but a real port and polish with bench flow test.call some one like Hooper.I have a 700 cat with a quality port job buy a pro drag racer and I can stomp all over 800 shiny catalog kits.just look down a set of jugs from some of these guys.it is just bad you can feel the grind marks with your finger no shine just deep ugly gouges. then put your micrometer on some of the transfers wow no wounder so many guys have a hard time dialing in some of this crap and 1 jug is constantly burning down .I have seen good things from Jason price running out there also.and if you think you are getting the same stuff out of the book that some of the big performance shops are winning with on the track you are waaay off it is in the small details that make you win

Hard to beat CC's. Two schools of thought on 2 stroke porting. Some engine builders port and polish to a high standard. Some factory high hp engines rely on rotary valve design and extra finger ports that are left rough castings to break up the fuel droplets to get more fuel into the cyls. you have to be able to do the whole package, carbs ,big bore cyls, porting, tuned pipes, clutching and a workable compression ratio to fit your conditions! and be prepared to rejet almost everyday. Most home tuners burn down a motor or two in there lifetime .LOL

allot more than 2 when you start playing with the NOS some times 2 in a weekend especially when working with carbs and NOS efi much more user friendly tuning with NOS.the wet kits are a fairly ez and relatively inexpensive way to smoke your buddy's buy 4 to 5 sleds in 1000ft but that race gas gets costly to run if doing more than running down a ice track for the day
