how many picks are recommended for a 141" track? Im not looking for super aggressive but enough to do what they are meant for.

To me once you get over 136 track & want stud hook up & stopping traction better to go iceripper track ...costs more yes ....but why stud a 144 track & have all the problems studs cause? Really not what 141 track is meant to do.

Just remember Stud OEMS are trying to sell studs .....no need to stud outside edge ....if you do stud up the center only .....away from Hyfax.

IMHO the only way I stud a single ply track is the double backers .u know the one that 2 studs share 1 backer.
I would just go 1 double backer stud set every other row for normal trail ridding .if lining up to race a lot or spend a ton of time in the ice every row.
but I would not do a single stud/ backer in in a single ply track not even the so called single ply studs.
and with the larger track that is prob on your crosstour I would look in to the double backer with that angel on the back. set that angel tight to lug so under hard acceleration the studs cant fold over with that lug helping support backer
