Pics from Sundays ride. The early bird (my son and I) got the worm. Fresh deep snow. Trails from Newberry don't open till after muzzle loader season, so trailered out to Muskelange lake and rode. Trail head was not plowed yet. Only 1 set of tracks seen in some spots. Deep snow, lots of fun. Rainbow lodge looked closed, gas pumps bagged. Don't know if there will be gas there this year. Any body know?

sNo-Plow!

I love seeing nice untouched backroads, but the gut drops when you see the ugh-ly snow flyin off the plow blade- at least we know you can ditch bang a little ways to the first cut-off, and find another back-country route to have another untouched virgin carpet ride to blaze- you know what I'm babblin about! I'm guessin you and the boys have done a bunch of miles, and now your son is learnin the ways of the yooper- wish my dad didn't work as hard as he did, so we could have blasted some back-country expeditions like that- I am willing to bet, you wish your son could have appreciated half the effort it takes to get to this level of freedom! Maybe you're a better dad than me, and actually taught your child(children) a little better? I always said, I would never treat my kids the way I was treated (until I had to raise them on my own!) What a spoiled brat I was now that I realize how good I had it. Good parenting goes a long way- sled on, kemosabe? Thanks JohnDee, for letting us share the yooper on your site. Soon enough, scooper rides again- off trail boogie!
Wher did RodKnee go, with his dog, dik? Good times.
