Weird day. Started out relatively weird - raining, 37, 38 degrees. Forecasted to hover around there and tonight maybe around half an inch of snow.
Then...around 9am this morning the temperature just dropped like a rock above 1,000 feet elevation. I was in class at Finlandia but watching webcams and a local thermometer in Calumet saw the temperature suddenly drop from 37 to 32 in about 2 hours. My wife let me know it was snowing and webcams verified it.
Been snowing lightly off and on but started picking up the last couple hours. Got about 3 inches of snow on the grass and a solid inch on parking lots and roadways now. Lot of cars sliding around out there.
