Agreed, although that was just quoting the caption on the picture for those who might not be able to read it!
(I'm just sorry I wasn't there then; before that and after, yes, but not that winter. :sorrow:)

I'm sure back then they weren't thinking "how great is was". Lol.
I can't even imagine dealing with that much snow back "then".

Dec 78 was our first year up there. Our group stayed at the motel in Mohawk. Tried riding the first day up to Copper Harbor. Met the groomer (was run by the DNR back then) they stopped us just north of Mohawk and told us to run 41 up there because we would never get up there by trail. Made it up and back. Next couple of day, rode south.
