The first picture is of Gravel Mountain just after it slid. Someone high marked and hit a cornice causing the slide.

wiggsfive, heading out there the last week of February, I cannot wait. Did you happen to get over by Buff Pass or Rabbit Ears?

It took about 16 hours. We live about 25 west of Chicago. Easy drive, weather was clear and no traffic. Would do it again... Well lets see how the ride back goes. We also hauled a 4 place with us.

We do did not make it to Buff or the Ears.

Where are you guys staying. Im thinking I might try Grand Lake area next year. My family has timeshare in Fraser. How do you rate the terrain and how does it compare to other areas you have been? I've only visited that area to ski and during summer months when I was younger. Pics look awesome!
