Pilot Skis holding water

Just picked up a 2012 800 Etec TNT which I love! Got back last night and after washing them the skis are holding water covering the carbide nuts. Have the same problem with my 09 GSX 550 and my 08 Renegade(which i traded in this week) and the nuts get rusty quick. Has anyone drilled a very small drain hole under the spindle or have another idea?

I drilled a hole at an angle, it works to drain the ski and I have not had an issue. I know a few others who have done the same thing.

Just put grease on nuts & lift skis to drain water. If they wanted drain holes they would be there. Hole going to freeze up anyway.

Yeah, ski doo has it all figured out, just like their gas gauges, y-pipe bolts, recoils, and clutch alignment. Drill small holes in your pilots, it works well.

Non-issue.
Mine have been rusting for 3-4 yrs as I haven't needed to replace them. Then, when you're trying to remove them to to replace, the studs will likely break off at the bar saving you time! :)
