Places to look for used jet ski parts?

We have a kawasaki stx15. Needs a new gauge. Think the one on it got water in it after being submerged for too long with one of my nephew's riding it and tipped it over. A new gauge is like $900 on ebay. Not worth it for an older jet ski. Was wondering if anyone knows where to find used parts.

I'm not familiar with the Kawasaki's but have been on pwc's for many years. IMHO the most important gauge is the one for gasoline. Speed and rpms are really secondary on these things. If the gas gauge is part of the module then I guess you'll be looking for a boneyard. If it's separate, then I'd run it the way she is. If a gauge turns up, all the better.

We have one of the Yamaha's and everything is packed onto the one screen. If that module goes, then I'll be in the same boat. No pun intended. Good luck, I'd start by calling around to some dealers. Also on line with the Snowmobile/Cycle salvage yards.

Thanks - it is a all in one screen setup with a couple of buttons. So far it's ok without it displaying. The only issue is sometimes it switches to "slo mode" but that can be turned off by holding down the mode button. As long as that keeps working we'll be ok. The amount of gas can seen by opening the container in the front. The clear tank is visible in there. I'll have it out this weekend for the first time this season to make sure it still works correctly. We're taking it to a lake for a week and it would be nice to have it fixed, but there's no way I'd drop that much money on it.

places to look IMO< would be like E bay for a used one, , and at any ATV type salvage yard, or larger dealers near water, that sell a lot of jet ski's
as a lot of times when insurance claims happen things end up sitting in dealers lots a while, and or forever, and end up as parts machines! and if not, having any, they should be able to help direct you to places to look!

I would also gather if your a face book user, on there I think market place might be worth looking too!
