Planning a trip out west

Hey John dee members!
I'm planning a trip to wyoming next month. Any of you know a good place to go/stay? I typically go to steamboat but the drive gets so long,so i was thinking somewhere closer this year.
I'm narrowing it down to Laramie or the big horns? Any advice would be great. I know togwotee is awesome but it's just as far as steamboat.

red lodge is faster than the ears . only save 2 hrs doing snowy s .bottom line living in waconia wanna play minn 14hrs.
