Polaris 133" track swap with a 136"

Has anyone ever swapped out a 133" with a 136"?

I have a old 8" 133 rear suspension with a crappy old .82 133 track. It's much easier to find 136" tracks but I am not sure if it would work. Was thinking maybe if I used oversized rear wheels and I have about 1.5" to adjust farther back on the rails that it might work?

Thoughts?

Thanks

Never did that on a 133 to 136 but I know that you can go from a 144 to 146 on a Polaris and take up the slack in tha adjustment. You have to make sure the pitch is the same on both tracks or the drivers will have to be switched out.

Funny you brought this up. My cousin ripped the track on his 98 polaris classic touring and i had a **** of a time trying to find a replacement. I was considering doing the same thing.

It won't adjust far enough without extending the rails, or as noted, moving the skid back. Been there done that.

Just a thought but I have put on like Arctic Cat tracks on a Polaris Yamaha track on a John Deere and all kinds of different swappa rounds as long as they have the same drivers and measure 1 in longer or 1 inch shorter you just slap it on and then do the adjustment I try to stay with Arctic Cat tracks because their lugs are better and slightly taller than the other manu,s use .....but Yamaha tracks seem to fit the most wide range of vehicles

Ps... I get most of my tracks from UPcat.com or from boats.net

Okay I found out from someone who's already done it and they used the 136 track here's what they said

relocate the rear suspension brackets a few inches back.
