OSCEOLA, Wis. (WFRV) – One of the leading American manufacturers of powersports vehicles announced that its only Wisconsin facility is being closed.
According to a letter sent to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Polaris announced that it is permanently closing its entire Osceola facility. The facility is in Polk County, which is in the western part of Wisconsin.
The letter states that Polaris expects that 189 employees working at the facility will be let go by the time the facility closes. The first wave of employment losses is expected to happen on July 27.
