Dealers will not openly tell you do it.
I turned mine up at 2600 miles for peace of mind. 2 strokes need oil to lube the inside of the motor. They do not store oil in the engine like a 4 stroker. By design 2 strokes are "dirty" motors. Leaning them to minimize smoke makes the EPA happy but not the motor. There is no magic to these motors. The HP to cc ratio is insane from a motor made mostly of aluminum. Does your car or truck make 80 HP per cylinder? Amazing these glorified weed Wacker motors (cat. Doo. Poo) can run as long and as hard as they do.

Nice write up Lenny. Love the pics too. I can tell you that the last three days at Togwotee and I am still a believer. My Pro loves to chew on the snow and keep on trucking! It has been so deep!

these motors have a history of failing and IMO a little extra oil my help, cannot say if it will do a dang thing but from what I hear they run lean on oil typically. I do warm my sled up every time and am cautious that way so a little extra oil may help

My sled had an occasional mid range hesitation that seems to have gone away since turning up oil. I like to see smoke and the smell of Am soil burning.

Lenny didn't you have a post about weight loss? I have some good info for you. I do a couple programs and special diets that get me ready to guide all season long! It works great too. 40mins every morning and you will be more in charge of your RMKiller than ever before!

Lenny, what you said is what i am dealing with on my sked. I cant keep up sometimes with the sled. Being a short chubby kid doesnt help lol. I am getting better, i know what i need to do in certain situations, i just have to react faster. I love this sled by the way. Next trip up i am going to take Scott's m out, and see how it does compared to mine. I should probaby ask him first though eh? I would sure hate to add to the wall of shame with his a arms. Lol.

That was funny on the big screen at the dealer meeting. They had the Summit there side by side with the Pro RMK and the Summit just looked totally dated compared to the RMK. The RMK definitely makes the average rider much better!! Thanks for the biz Bob!!!

Lenny, between your first post and update, I want one! Polaris should hire you Lol! Than to make things worse I got to ride with a great rider " Cooksend" in the backcountry of the U.P. Wow! between Greg's riding ability, and the sleds capabilities I was totally impressed!

You did great Halfpint. You definitely don't have a fear of the throttle! Hope to ride with you again!

Lenny, never met you put your review on sled is dead on. I ride a summit, be it an older one, 09, but the poo's are awesome at side hilling and you can stick them and get out of some tough areas. My next sled will be poo for that reason. Can't review mt. sleds for trail performance, just not fair. You've ridden both so you know the difference. Its like comparing a corvette to f-450.
