if I wanted a non conventional open air toy not on 2 wheels I would have to get one of those street legal sand rails with street tread like u see around AZ and NV from time to time
Found this posted on another site, bet it will be no less than $30k to start.
The Slingshot is rumored to get its propulsion from a 2.4-liter, Ecotec four-cylinder sourced from General Motors, and its expected output is 200 horsepower. According to the patent documentation ABS brakes, power steering, traction control and stability control will be included.
Another take on the side by side seating like the T-Rex, only this time from Polaris.
I think it looks like a ton of fun! I really like the 5 speed stick shifting. Not sure I'd spend that kind of money, but I'd love to rent one for a weekend!
I don't know what their expectation is. If their target and business plan is to sell 2000/yr they may be fine. If they expect to sell 20,000/yr I think they will be disappointed.
Based on their track record though I don't think I'd bet against them. They've had some pretty successful new products in the last 5 yrs. And they have the financial ability to carry a dog for awhile to understand the market and adjust to it. I think MSPEASE had a great thought, I can see where this would be a great day rental vehicle. The Harley dealer near my dad's has a trike they rent out and they said it's always rented.
Hard to second guess Pol lately. Home runs with Indians and Razers. They carried their Victories for a long time before they caught on. If anyone can do it they can. Now if they could just build a snowmobile! Just kidding.
I really dont think the USA is the target market for them . my guess is they already have a dealer network set up just for them all over Europe just waiting.
