Polaris Sportsman Problems

I have a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 400 and while I was riding it in the woods today it started to overheat. I immediately turned it off and started looking for the problem. I saw that it was leaking coolant so when I got it home I filled it up, but the fan still won't come on. It isn't leaking coolant anymore but I'm not sure how to get the fan to come on. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Temp sensor is shot. Had the same thing happen to my 2004 700 sportsman. Go to your local dealer and pick up one. When you see it, you will see how easy it is to install. Hope this helps.
