I have a 600 2003. I have tail lights and dash board light and no head lights high or low. I checked the omhs out from the stator and they are what they should be. Is their a seprate coil on the stator for just the front light or do I have another issue. They should work if the omhs are right I would think. I also have power to the hi beam switch

The main power line in to the high/low button could be cut or broken. The power comes from the same coil, same regulator. Check the yellow (12v pos) wire to the switch, if no power, chase back to the regulator and see if the wire is broken. Also, not to state the obvious, but make sure the h/l bulbs are good, and the wires are still attatched to it. the brown wire is ground, the yellow/ black (or whatever color) and the blue(or whatever color) are for high and low beam power. You can check your input power there too.

From the main plug to the hood I have power from the yellow and I should also have power from yellow with red and I don't have power. The bulbs are good also at the high low switch I have only power from yellow and not yellow and red. If the voltage regulator was bad would or should any of the light work?Have brake tailight and hood lights and the sled runs

The 3 wires going into the headlight socket are 12v pos for high, 12v pos for low and brown for ground. You should have voltage at the high low wires when the switch is selected as such. the power wire (yellow) in the hood junction is the one for the dash lights, the red/yellow is probably a warning light sensor(hight temp or brake). You need the wires from the headlight socket. It sounds like the switch is bad, power coming in (yellow) no power going out (other 2 wires at the switch should be 12v when selected high/low). if no power from the switch to the headlight, bad switch. Try a jumper from the yellow at the switch, to one of the other light wires to test the theory, and test the wires to the H/L by doing so.(by pass the switch)
