Hammer down fuji!!!!!!!!!!! I sure wish I could be there. Weather looks to great thru next week.

Cross my fingers, just arrived and she is a little bare.
Between Wausaukee and 20 miles southeast of Lanse it was snowing to beat heck on the way up, almost used 4x4 but had decent mileage on the Hemi going.
You and I must ride this December.

Yet bet. The weather for riding, I just checked, looks good. From Mass, thru the Kewee. Have a little faith, and enjoy. Probably count the sleds encountered one hand!!! Good luck, and be safe!!!

So how many miles of trails are open? I’m just wondering if it’s worth coming up there. I guess I would also need to know if there is a motel room that direct access to the trail or would we have to trailer out of town?

We have been told that riding in the Keweenaw will only be allowed on trails that use state land. That would be trail 3 from Toivola to Houghton and then trails 3 and 17 from Hancock to Calumet and back.
My sincerest apologies for causing such a ruckus and confusion, it was the LAST thing I wanted to do. A communications issue between the DNR and myself and I will certainly take credit for my responsibility in the mix up. Also, trail 3 from Toivola to Mass City is on state owned land, so it is fine to ride as well.
Sorry!

Right Mass City to Calumet probably about 50-60. So Houghton up to Calumet back down to Mass City then back up to Houghton, probably 110 miles. Nice little late season day. Lots of nice stops, Krupps, Parkview, Tige's, Carmalita's. Can't beat it if you can make it.

Hello,
Are sleds still riding the Portage canal to the East of the bridge in Houghton past the Super 8 MTU area?

Thank you, Bear

Are guys riding the Houghton canal from the lift bridge to the Super 8 and points further such as Chassel?

Thank you, Bear

Try staying at the Super 8 in Houghton (nice place) and riding the connector to the lift bridge, you'll need to pee, vomit and have a backache by the time you get there. The whoops are the worst pretty much anywhere.
I like the Canal as an alternative if I see guys riding it. I haven't been on it this year though.
