Neenah, Wisconsin 92 degrees at 4 p.m. (Sunday)

Just got back home from boating on Lake Winnebago. Not bad on the water but as you get near shore you can feel the wall of heat come up quickly. Here's a few pics of people cooling off at Waverly Beach on Sunday, this is at the north end of Lake Winnebago.

The last pic of the Thermometer is in my backyard, IN THE SHADE!

Thermometer on the north side of the house, in the shade, reads 98 degrees. We have been inside all day. The dogs dont even want to be outside. They've been watching the birds from the inside. When they do go out they have to tip toe across the patio because its so hot.

97* at 5pm Sunday. Everybody's hunkerin' down like there's a blizzard. It's gonna be a long week for the A/C unit. Trying to keep everything else turned off and closed up to save on the electric bill.

90F was the high with a heat index of 106 this afternoon. Very cloudy now with some storms possibly rolling through - I hope it rains because it should cool things down a bit. No A/C in the house so we're all melting down. We'll probably sleep in the basement tonite. Think snow :)

Also, I read that a heat index of 126F was recorded in the Upper Midwest today (according to NWS), but I'm not sure what location experienced it.

Whew!

SUNDAY:
Three seperate Bank clocks read 95 on the way home from work
at 5:45pm. (from Marinette to Peshtigo on U.S.H. 41)
It's gotta be all that.
Feels like it did a couple years back when I was in Southern Texas
for 9 days.
Even to warm for the skeeters! LOL!
Gravy Weather!

Stay cool everyone!
Think * Snow!

Got in my car after work today and the thermometer said 102. I thought it would cool down once I got moving. It did - to 101. And this isn't supposed to be the warmest day of the week.

It's 43 right now in Nome, AK. Here in Walworth it's............Africa Hot. I won't even look at the thermometer today. I'll just keep on looking at the Nome conditions and pretend I'm there, inside, with the heat on. SUMMER SUCKS!!

Today is not quite as bad temp (85F) & humidity wise (55), but the dew point is still up there (65) making the equation uncomfortable. To add to that, we now have smoke from the Ontario wildfires clinging to the moist air lofting over us. Tomorrow, were suppose to be back up in the mid 90's:(. I thought helll was south not north, :confused:HI, WELCOME TO HELLL, LOL! :D-Mezz
