We are now at 99 degrees near Rockford IL. The local weather said we haven't hit a 100 air temp since July of 1989. Maybe yet today or the next two days? Enough already. We have a pool but the water is even 95 degrees.

Was in New Orleans in August of 1998. Air temp for the three days we were there was 103, dewpoint 82. Heat index 130. Walking out of an air conditioned building would actually feel like walking into a wall and would take your breath away.

Even the locals were complaining!

Read 92* in the car on the way to work Monday and 87* yesterday, today they are calling for 97* with heat index of 115*. Ugh

Hit a heat index of 119 in the Twin Cities yesterday. According to the news, the last time it was that high was 1966. To put that in perspective, I was in High School and gas was 32 cents a gallon.

Sounds like more of the same today.

May head up to Marquette this weekend - highs are supposed to be in the low/mid 70's, lows in the 60's. I might have to bring a jacket.

93 degrees in the Minnetonka, MN area with a dewpoint of 82 and a heat index of 116 degrees. I guess it's better than the 119 degree heat index of yesterday. I still went running outside at lunch today like a fool.

Last I checked we had 96.

Yesterday we were near Grantsburg, and had a Twin Cities radio station on. They said it was 100, with a 118 heat index. That is insane!
