power valves cleaning

I have a 2004 700 xcsp 6000 miles, should I clean the power valves or leave em alone. Have no issues just wonder if a little pm would be beneficial? Run VES GOLD PLUS for last 4 years , before that Klots Thanks

You should of cleaned then at least 3 times minimum so far. They could be plugged and you don't even know it. The valves gradually gunk up and stick (mostly shut) performance gradually drops off as this happens. Clean them, replace the bellows and springs at this time. Oven cleaner works well. Also make sure that the very small holes that are in the block that provide air to the bellows is not blocked to ensure the valves work properly.

Also make sure to wear blue nitrile gloves or something alike if using oven cleaner..........

As stated above, clean them. also it is very important to make sure the pressure port from the cylinder to the the bellows is not plugged, which very likely it is with not having been touched in the miles that you state. I use a fine drill & turn it by hand, if you do this, be extra careful not to brake it off. The ports do carbon up.

I clean mine at the end of every season, I use Amsoil, and cleaning the valves is a breeze(NOT TRYING TO START ANOTHER OIL DEBATE).
