Not much for snow here, a dusting to an inch in Town, and around 2 inches out towards Nokomis. But that's good, as we don't need heavy snow while we are making ice....Nokomis is mostly frozen over, and some of the shallow bays have 6 plus inches of ice...other areas on the Lake are reporting 3-5 inches....it was cold this morning, 12 above...and temps should stay in the mid 30's for highs, and teens for lows (which should continue to make good ice)...No significant snow is in the forecast for the next 7 to 10 days...which of course makes me nervous (always get edgy this time of the year waiting for snow).....three more weeks and we can officially open provided we have good ice, and snow. That hasn't happened very often the last 10 years...but for once we'd love to see solid ice and good snow for the week between Xmas and New Years....keep your fingers crossed...it's not a bad start at all...but my throttle thumb is getting twitchy...lol

Talked to someone from e Wakefield tonight. She said that the trails were thin but rideable, a local observation that I would take as truth. She said hey needed more snow.
