Problem with my 2006 rmk

One of my sleds is a 2006 600 rmk . only has 1500 miles on it . Ever since this sled was new after i ride for about 2 hours stop and shoot the bull for a bit . I go to pull the rope and it just pulls without catching . This weekend i tried moving the clutch and that seemed to help . Any ideas ? Was a nice trip . Snow was nice powder to the ground . The logging roads were fresh we were the first on them .

i would suggest pulling the recoil and take a look inside it
not to hard to do
could be moisture in there freezing up after you stop
or you might find something else broken or sticking

Interesting. Had a 2008 600 RMK that did the same thing from time to time. Never did have it looked as it seemed to work the majority of the time. Watch some YouTube videos on how to start a sled via the primary just in case you need to do it. LOL!

my thoughts as well, possibly moisture getting in being a powder sled, or something loose on pawl assembly or the part that supplies the friction to drive the pawl out damaged or loose?
