I have a 2010 Polaris 800 Dragon Switchback. I am thinking about installing the center projector beam on the headlight. I hope to get some feed back on how well it works. Thanks for input.

I see that projector beam upgrade is already being discussed. I am going to get it. You can never have too much light. Additional input would be appreciated.

I bought the projector beam for my 2006 switchback and feel it was a huge waste of money. It just does not seem to make much difference when it is turned on. I was really excited to get it and very disappointed when I tried it after spending $100 on it.

Thanks snowdance. Does the projector beam work with a seperate switch or just with the high beams. Did it seem like light was shining too high?

I have heard a seperate switch or with low beams waste of money, the beam is too high,
I was going to do it, but also not legal to ride on trails. I switched out my headlight bulbs, and put in cool blue halogen bulbs great light and legal.

This was on my 2007 600 IQ.

My 2009 Dragon is much brighter never switched bulbs.

headlight

i have it on a 2007 iq 600 and its great.and who cares if its legal.come on,when theres nobody coming at you, what the heck.and yes its a seperate switch but if you flip the switch to on ,then you just use your high-low switch.and it'll be on and if you don,t want it.leave the switch to the off position.i guess its your call.100.00.people have spent a lot more on junk, that isnt legal.lol.

I appreciate feed back. Opinions seem to vary, but I do alot of boondocking and I am going to try it. You can never have too much light. Safe riding this winter and think SNOW !

I'm all for the projection light, or any other lights, I use the cool blue halogen light bulbs, great light, but use the stock clear lens, the blue ones are illegal. I do what I want too. I was just stating that WI,MI, and MN, are writing tickets on the trails for this.

It seems that lights would'nt be an issue anyway, as long as you turn brights off to on coming traffic. I have a gps , so we boondock majority of time. Lights are a big advantage off trail. It looks like some snow may be coming. HAPPY RIDING !
