Just sitting in my shed doing some work listening to it rain on the roof. What a depressing sound.

Oh come on!! None of us are supposed to get depressed when it doesn't snow where we each live. Let's all just be happy and stay positive! Dang crappy stupid freakin lack of snow winter!! Yeah-stay positive.

No rain here yet. It is creeping its way East. Torture to watch on radar. It is the giant green blob from H e ll Need to stop looking and hoping some miracle North wind will all of a sudden push it all South. Or get cold enough for it to be snow.

Yah? I hear yah.... Rain anywhere in January, be it Northern Illinios or Northern Wisc or Minnesota is just wrong. Many times I find myself, argueing, Bi#$hing at myself "why does it have to fricken rain", "I mean if it doesn't want to snow, but still warm up, thats fine(but wrong), but why does it have to rain". Rain just seems to be the icing on the cake, insulting, rubbing it in your face by mother nature. I just dont get it, winter that is.

I sold out back in 04 when my girls were getting to that "insanely" busy age where it just got to dang hard to go on my trips up north. I really feel sorry for all of you guys that have the big investment in this great sport but have to sit and watch it sit in the garage or trailers. For me it was just the right time to take a break. And for me it was easier to wait for the great conditions with no equipement of my own to deal with and simply take those last minute "road trips" up to the northwoods when the inlaws tell me "its time to get up here". They have two sleds sitting in the morton building on stand by at all times. Sure, its not the same as having your own gear, working on it, dreaming on it, tweaking on it, but for right now its just the right fit with my life.

Actually lately I seem to enjoy those last minute scrambles, to make a trip, when they call more than waiting, painfully, watching my investment in the garage sit, looking at forecast daily, begging for change....

So to those of you who wait patiently??? I salute you..... I understand your pain and can only wish that soon, real soon, I pass you on the trail without even knowing giving you a BIG thumbs up at the awesome time I (we) are having and that there are no more sleds behind me.......

Peace out, Bro's
