Raising seat

Thinking about raising the seat angle on my 93 indy 500 to get my thighs above the knees. Has anyone tried this before? I was thinking of building an aluminum wedge of about 5" to 6" high in the back part of the wedge. Good idea, bad idea?

PowerMadd makes a riser, not sure if they make one for a 93 or not. I installed one on my previous sled, a 00 Cat powder special. It worked well. Another thought, take the seat to an upholstery shop, they might be able to build the seat up 3-4 inches, make it like a boss seat.

the one from powermadd isn't for your sled. i think it would be possible to build it up as long as you take the gas tank into consideration.

thanks for the info. The seat and tank are seperate so if I lift the seat the tank can stay as is.

There's suppose to be a great upholstery shop in ironwood, mi and I have a number for some one i SE WI that does good work in raising seats. If you want it let me know. I was going to go that route but found a new boss high rise seat for 387.
