The snowmobile rescue team out of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park Emily Pleiness, Jimmy Newkirk, Justin Farley and Dave Merk have been nominated for Ranger of the Year through ServiceWear! These are the Rangers who were lead by Supervisor Bill Doan on the rescue of the 2 men who were lost last year.
From now until the 19th of September you can vote for the team - when you place a vote it votes for all four rangers at one time. This is a nationwide opportunity and our four rangers are one of two nominations for the DNR. The prize is $1000 in merchandise and of course the distinguished title!
